Christmas Ale...sold out?

I came back to NE Ohio with 2 missions...drink Christmas Ale, and bring some back to DC. Mission 1, accomplished (thanks BW3 for having it on tap!) Mission 2 is in doubt. Everywhere I go, I am told they are sold out. Went to a liquor/beer store, and the guy told me to stop in PA on my way back, they might have some. I refuse to buy Christmas Ale from an inbred Yinzer. Any suggestions? If this board cannot find Christmas Ale, then I will accept that there is none to be found. All help gratefully appreciated.

I know they stopped making it EARLY December. Last time I was at mt local Giant Eagle they had quite a bit left.
I recently opened the case I bought a few weeks back, so I am good for a while.

From what I've been hearing, it's going to be very hard to find from here on out. Your best bet? Grocery stores. The more obscure the better. Also, had lunch at the GL Brewery last week. Conway said he should have cases of it there for sale in the gift shop till pretty close to New Years Day.

They make a fixed amount. 80,000 cases. Goes quicker and quicker every year.

Got 3.5 cases in my basement, kicking myself for not further bolstering my strategic reserve.

They had it all over here on the east side (Lake & Geauga County) on Sunday...Heinen's, GE & Wal-Mart....World of Wines on Rt 20 had quite a bit late last week

Since I have been out of Cleveland for going on 8 years, I have not had this concoction that all of you "Jonestown" residents so willingly imbibe. I am curious and I will try and get some shipped to me so that I can get into the "Cult conga line" on this item also.

As of this morning a lil convienent on Clark street behind downtown Willoughby had about 15 cases.

World Market at Great Northern may be the most obscure place to get it. I recall them only having a few cases left as of last week. But there are tons of beers I've never heard of out there to try in the meantime.

On that note, anyone ever have Buckeye Beer? I had never heard of it til I went out there to get a bottle of wine for the family gift exchange. Come to think of it, I hadn't heard of a lot of their beers.

My Dad shipped me a case for Christmas. Only one lonely bottle remains

Call Great Lakes Brewery. They cannot ship but will give you the number of a "distributor" in the 216 who will charge you about $50 or so extra to ship a case. All 24 arrived in tact 3 days later.

I was able to acquire a case at the Brunswick Beverage Center on Pearl Road (Route 42) just South of the Strongsville border. And it's drive thru for convenience. Still had 5 cases left after my purchase.

It's official ... it's freaking sold out.

Just spent 15 min calling every grocer/beverage store within 20 min of my house. Everyone is sucked dry.

Great Lakes Brewery isn't selling it in the bottle any more either. Said "still have it on tap in the brewery, but it's going quick".

I hit 5 different stores with zero luck. A couple of bars had it in bottles, but wouldn't sell me a 6-pack to go. Also managed to put my new car in a ditch Tuesday night when the roads were nothing but ice while looking for it.

Damn you Christmas Ale...damn you for being so delicious. Next year, I'm getting 10 cases and hoarding it. Will be like Dwight Schrute with the "unicorn princess" doll.

You guys have to go out of market. My wife's father bought me a case in Pittsburgh for xmas (we should impose sanctions to the state of PA with xmas ale)

I also am from Toledo and saw some there... Anderson's usually has a pretty big supply, at least the one by me for you Toledo folks

Visited the bar down the street from my house and for whatever reason I have always gone to other places instead of that one. However, Saturday went down to grab a burger and low and behold what do they have. Great Lakes Christmas Ale $5 a bottle. Just 2 blocks from my home. I am a lucky man and since no one here knows much about it I would think they will have it around for a while. $5 isnt exactly dirt cheap, but hell you cant get a bud for less than $3 around here so what the hell.
