Which Matt is the real deal?

Unread postby Spin » Tue Sep 09, 2008 1:18 am

I lost my starting QB (Brady) and probably second stringer (Alex Smith). I picked up Kyle Orton on waivers.

I got an offer to trade RB Matt Forte for QB Matt Ryan. Both rookies, both high scorers in week 1.

My RB's are McFadden and Jamaal Lewis with Ahman Green on the bench.

Which Matt will keep up the numbers?

I'm weak at RB and QB.

Maybe I'll just "punt" and draft first next year.

I would say "neither".

But if I was compelled to pick one, it would surely be Forte.

I have liked Forte' from day one. I think he will have a very solid season. I do like Matt Ryan especially in keeper leagues, but for this season the answer would be Matt Forte'

My answer after week one is "Who Knows???"...

Throw a dart at one of their names and pray that you hit the right one

Forte, for sure. That kid's footwork is outstanding. Highly unlikely Ryan will be able to keep that up.

I think it is too early to make a snap decision to deal away a solid RB for a 2nd tier QB.

Plus, Atlanta is going to run the ball A LOT with Turner and Norwood in the backfield. Hell, Norwood almost had 100 yards and a TD as well in that game.

Keep the RB. McFadden is a question mark every week (and he's dinged up a little now), and Lewis and Green are both injury risks.

How big is this league? There should be much better options than Matt Ryan available. Hopefully you did not make this trade

Just hoping my child doesn't have to go grow up in a world where Cleveland Sports are terrible like I had to.
