Just had my big league auction on Sunday. I'm very happy with how it went for me.
10 teams, AL Only, 23 man rosters, $260 salary cap
It's a 20 team league total. The NL side has 10 teams as well. Keeper league, max 5.
Scoring system is a little different. You play a team head to head in hitting and pitching each week. 20 weeks, so 40 W-L. Hitting categories are H, HR, RBI, R, SB. Whoever wins 3 of 5 gets the win. Pitching categories are just W, SV, K. Whoever wins 2 of 3 gets the win in pitching.
In 7 seasons, I've won it twice, and also took 2nd and 3rd two other years. The formula I feel works best is targeting H, R, and SB on offense ... saves on the pitching side, and try and throw together a mix of 7-8 starters on good teams.
