I keep getting logged out, and the logon link on the top of the screen doesn't work (I have to use the one on the bottom instead and always forget). Did Steve change the way the cookie is managed?

There was a board upgrade we downloaded yesterday. What it upgraded, I'm not sure.

In addition, it used to be that I'd read a message, then go to the Forum Index, and it would acknowledge that there weren't any unread messages in the Forum I'd just completed. Now it doesn't acknowledge it unless I manually "Mark All Topics Read."

Lu, sorry, I've been on vacation, and it's taken every ounce of my time to concentrate on keeping the site updated.

One of the disadvantages of working without a budget.

I just emailed my web guy, we're going to take a look at this again.

We had to figure out a way to install upgrades to the boards, without the possibility of erasing all the previous posts and content.

For whatever reason, when I visit the boards from my home computer, it never saves my login info and I have to login almost everytime I visit.....yet my work computer has the saved login info and never loses it. What's the deal?

I'm still having issues at home. For whatever reason, I am signed in....then click on a link to a forum and I am logged out. I then have to sign in of course, but upon signing in it still shows I am not logged in. I have to always do it a second time.

I don't have this problem at work....I've never been logged out and am always signed in....but it is something with the computer/network/ISP I run on from home?

Tony, it has to be.

I've checked with phpBB and DiFranco two times now on this, and that is their take. Also, I haven't heard of many others with the same issue.

I have identical issues to Tony. Sometimes at home it will leave me logged in, but it depends on if I use my "Favorites" link directly to the boards or if I come from the front page link. Sometimes id doesn't matter how I get there.

The having to log in twice thing is the only thing that really bothers me.

Seriously though, I bet the login issues are a big reason why so few registered people post. It is really aggravating.

Again, at work, I have no problems. Always logged in, and never get logged out. But, for whatever reason, my home computer has the issues with the double logins and not staying logged in.
