Good front page little bio piece on Shaffer by Sobo.

Talk about an off the radar signing. I think most (myself included) assumed Shelton would be brought back, and that if the Browns targeted any OL in FA, it would be an interior lineman. Which they did as well.

While undersized for a very large and physical AFC North, I'm intrigued with what I've read so far on this kid. I like the fact hes accustomed to a QB that likes to make things happen out of the pocket.

One quick edit on my part....

Schaffer revealed he hasn't been at 290 since he came into the NFL, but is now at 315. So much for using what you'd think is a "reliable" source to be as accurate as you can.

One little concern out of the way, let's just hope he lives up to that whopping pay check.
