Would it be OK if I watched the Eagles/Lions game instead?

How bad was the Gronk injury?

How about the Browns showing up to play. They'll lose in the last 3 minutes, but it's been a good game to listen to.

Looked pretty bad. Hit him on the outside of his right knee. Didn't look like a "rub a little dirt on it" type of situation. I'll bet the dude is done for the year.

Don't remember the thread but I said somewhere Josh Gordon was 'good not great'. Great is closer to what he is.

Consider this my retraction.

Typical late season game to build up false hopes and expectations moving forward, that also possibly drops them a spot in the draft.

Meh.

It's Gordon's world, we're all just living in it.

One of these days this team is going to cease operations. Then the losses will stop.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

You have to admire how they find any means necessary to lose games. The last two weeks back to back is incredibly impressive. In the end I guess they keep rising up the draft list for 2014.

I'm watching Denver/Tennesse and Jim Nantz just informed me that is the first onside kick recovered by New England since 1994....against the Browns (the old ones!@).

That game was awesome. Kick their pass for 59 minutes and STILL find a way to pull out the L? Bonus! Both encouraging and helpful.

Combine that with Antonio Brown stepping out of bounds when PIT shoulda won... delightful.

Man I gave up on watching the Brownies a few weeks ago but my sons sucked me into tuning in today. I hate the Pats, that pretty boy Brady and the fucking pilgrims with a passion! Same old Browns . Nice strategy of not having a player in front of or anywhere near their kicker on the on sides kick

This. It was perfect. We're competing hard with many 4 win teams here. Critical Chud continues to keep the boys focussed for those last 3 minutes like Sunday. Superb bench contributions continue with Chuds TO management ensuring we had no chance at pulling victory out of the jaws of defeat. Burning that last TO on 1st & 1 at the goal for NE was so clutch.

Sammy Watkins. Eyes on the prize.

The contract renegotiation hold out will be epic.

Any decent FO is proactive here. We can count on the Browns to hold the line!

Remembered TJ saying this in the interview from 2011 and thought it was interesting:

After the hit last year on Jordan Shipley that got you fined, did you find yourself holding back a little when you made a hit, maybe thinking too much about where to hit rather than acting instinctively?

Yeah. Whenever you get fined that amount of money and you're just out there doing your job, the next opportunity you have those thoughts are gonna run through your head, and it's unfortunate that we're being forced to aim lower, I guess, and I don't think that's going to prevent any injuries. You saw that Jordan Shipley tore his ACL this year because instead of getting hit around the shoulder pads or his head, he got chopped, took his knee out, and tore his ACL. So you ask any Receiver if they'd rather get hit in the upper body or the lower body in that situation, I'm pretty sure about 95% of them would say 'Hit me up high, because I don't want you to tear my knee.'

Well, even with Ward going for the knees, Gronk is still concussed:

http://deadspin.com/rob-gronkowski-also ... 1479706054

What are you going to do? Have to hit a guy between the thighs and under the shoulder pads to make a legal tackle nowadays? I realize that's already the case with QBs, but that's nearly impossible to do with a 260 lb TE with 4.6 speed against a 200 lb safety.

in a few years the rule will be two hand touch for any receiver who catches a ball over the middle.

He's only 24. He'll be back chasing the thrill and the cash. And someone will pay him more of the latter that will help him find the former.

He tore multiple knee ligaments so not as easy as just a straight up ACL tear.
