This FTW.

Tank? Yes.

But not a Herschel comparison at all. We ripped those foo's off for a bust happening in real-time. Like Doo Doo says not a flaming has no value bust, but a never gonna be the player as drafted * in a meh way bust. So if you are trying to win now yah probably keep that. But if you are in rebuild you leverage your assets that aren't future building blocks and get what you can. We got way more than we shoulda.

This was a July baseball-y trade.

When your location is behind Greco & Cousins it probably is best to sell as high as you can and leave the neighborhood.

Yup.

Hoyer (if he keeps it up) could be a hell of a backup for us.

I don't know...

On one hand it's hamburger, but having hamburger on the roster isn't a bad option if you potentially have a good qb in the form of our 1st rounder next year.

If he keeps his nose clean...maybe...maybe you keep him.

e: if you're offered a T-Rich like deal..then yeah you maybe bite on it. But for now, I think you'd be lucky to get a 4th.

IMO you straighten out Gordon's head, he appears to be a legit threat with good QB play. 3 catches today, 3 catches on the run with YAC, something we have not seen much of in past 18 games.

WTF is Hoyer doing ?

Ball leave on time, throws to a spot, swing passes aren't thrown 90 mph, arm stronger than the detractors insisted, pocket presence, mobility, and I even saw a back shoulder TD. Competence, simple competence, looks like all pro play.

Lombardi is pleasuring himsel in the men's room at half.

My take on the first half:

1. Lombardi appears to be right on Hoyer -- So far.
2. Then again, the bar is Weeden, not hard to beat.
3. Hoyer is making throws Weeden never makes, or is capable of.
4. Is this team auditioning for trades? I get the feeling they hope if they get some good tape, they'll get traded.
5. I thought we were supposed to be tanking the season?
6. The most entertaining half of football featuring the Cleveland Browns in quite some time.
7. TRich Who?

I don't know...

The Vikings d. is bad..only reason I'm not more of a believer. Plus Gordon.

Still he's warranting me to want to see more, not less of him.

I think we're seeing a combination of things. A Browns offense gettign its best pass catching threat back, playing well b/c of timely accurate throws (mainly to said threat and a very dangerous TE), from a fresh change at QB that might have been welcomed by the entire offensive roster.

In a perfect world we lose every game 27-24 and Hoyer throws 1-3 picks while throwing for 2 TD's

As long as Skrine is on the field we'll be fine

Did you guys notice that was Travis was "exposed" when he got up after being tackled on the punt return??

When did they say they were tanking?

Is losing an injury-prone RB averaging 3.5 per that great a loss? Especially if you stop the Obifullback expirament?

Kent's fans/alumni, don't care, and generally fare better.

This couldn't have ended worse. I'm not rooting against Hoyer mind you, but I'm pretty sure our FO has already made up their minds he's not the future. So let him play, see if he can be a back up moving forward but for the love of God make sure you lose the games you should lose.
