Not a huge surprise, even given the salary cap hell the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets find themselves in. They may still look to deal him. Browns have a ton of cap room, and need help on the DL. If Roye is not resigned, this is something Savage may look into. Can't see it happening if Roye is brought back.

Am I missing something here. Would the signing bonus of a new long term contract mess up the Jets more when it comes to the cap? Will they really try to trade him or do they have a plan to dump and redo contracts to some of the other good players they have? Doesn't franchising a player make it harder to trade that player because of the draft pick that has to be given up? Or does trading him take away the prospect of another team having to give up a first round draft pick? I know allot of questions but sometimes I'm so easily confused.

Curtis Martin just re-signed to help them out. I think the intention with Abraham is to trade him. I think he said he was not going back there if they franchised him.
