All teams "weather" many of the above, but as had been previously pointed out in another thread by Lead or Pup, these teams look at at our formation, factor in down & distance and know what is coming 70% of the time ( excluding the double reverse calls in a hurricane as we are methodically running the ball down their throat). We aren't usually able to out talent anyone so we have to out scheme people or at least keep people off balance until we fill in our holes for CFS!

IPhone let you down? Totally agree. Shurmer has to win 7 in order to keep his job this season. Here's the main thing I keep telling people. Jimmy Haslam spent 1 BILLION DOLLARS of his own money to buy this team. Do you really think he is going to let a guy that he doesn't trust run it? No. Shurmer is gone. Thank God.

Can't agree. They were 10-12 yards from the line of scrimmage when the flip happened. Running sideline to sideline, he would've had to cover a lot of ground just to get back to the LoS even if the flip were perfect, and Benji's speed would've been somewhat negated by the mushy turf. Unless they're playing in a dome, they need to shelve that play for eternity.

That was the perfect call for a Middle School coach. Or some kid playing Madden. At that point in the game Richardson had 58 yards in 7 attempts. It's raining - the field is wet, the ball is wet, and it's not as if you're having trouble running the ball straight at the defense. So what do you do? Call some sandlot double reverse to a guy who was listed as questionable with a hamstring throughout the week.

Paraphrasing the old line from Dr. Science - There is a thin line between ignorance and arrogance. Coach Shurmur erases that line.

Again, I'm no expert but if I were going to throw the quick slant 75 times a game I would "coach up" my rookie Right Tackle to chop the end to avoid throwing the ball off the DE's hands...over...and over again.
