Doesn't anyone else find it pathetic that Jaworski is doing a countdown on ESPN and rating all the starting QBs from last year from every team ...

... and Cleveland doesn't even have one listed in his ratings??

I mean, c'mon, Jaws... At least list McCoy and rate him last.

The irrelevance continues...

I have only seen a couple of the segments on the topic. In his first show on the topic, he did say he was rating every starter from last year.

However, the Colts, Redskins and Browns are all left off the list. Jaws must assume those three franchises are all starting rookies next year. Although I wouldn't put Weedon in the same category as Luck and RGIII. And Jaws gives the Jets two starting QBs, Sanchez and Tebow. Hmmm. Adding fuel to the fire in NY.

Perhaps the Brown's don't have a top 30 QB, regardless of roster spot.

Why not? They're all first round selections and assured the starting job.

Who in the universe doesn't assume those 3 franchises will be starting rookie QB's next year?

It's not like they're gonna start the crap they trotted out last year.

PS - You know the difference between Colt McCoy and Rex Grossman?

Grossman has actually won in this league.

Since "Jaws" listed Tebow as a Jet... does that mean that there will also be no representative from Denver? So what other team will have 2? If he did the top 30, and CLE and DEN are not listed, does that mean he will list Payton Manning for the Colts when the man didnt even play?

I guess I just dont understand the logic in this list. If you are going to rate the starting QBs in the league, you should rate ALL the starters for EVERY team as far as I am concerned.

My assumption is that Denver's Peyton Manning will be in the top 4. The Jaws series has not yet concluded. And yes, I would think he would rate every starter in the league, from last year's performance. Even if they've changed teams. That's why I was taken aback. Its like the Browns didn't even have a starter last year (I know, most of you agree with that assessment).

Sorry. Maybe funny was a poor choice of words. Interesting? Peculiar? Appropriate? Depressing? Maybe those words are better than "funny."

Touche.

And 54 still doesn't qualify. I've got friends older than 54 that can drink/smoke a 21 year old into oblivion.

I agree that it is pretty sad that the Jets have two QBs on the list and we have none. You can read more about my thoughts on my site www.brownietheelf.com

The Jets have a Full-Back and a QB on the list, which is even sadder regarding the Browns.

The Finals are over. Camps don't start for a couple weeks. Typical ESPN Summer "filler." Not only is the list completely pointless, I happen to disagree with the bulk of the rankings. I don't get the beef with Jaws though; I like the guy, and prefer his 'aw-shucks, I might be a little retarded' attitude over Terry Bradshaw's.

What Grossman are you watching? The kid might have been able to slang it back in the day with the Bears (into traffic, usually) but last year just about every deep ball he threw was wobbly and short. He was like a Colt McCoy clone with better receivers/experience and a great website.

http://kissingsuzykolber.uproxx.com/2011/08/when-i-said-we-would-bend-this-division-over-and-have-our-way-with-it-i-meant-it.html

To be frank, I love watching Rex Grossman ride the pine for the Skins: every time RGIII throws a pick I get to shout, "HE SUCKS BRING IN THE SEX CANNON"

Can't wait for the December 16th matchup at CBS between Seneca Wallance and Sexy Rexy.....once Weedon gets smashed from holding the ball too long waiting for receivers to separate and RGIII gets clubbed while running for his life behind that garbage O-line. Going to be a real barn burner.

Skins by 3, 16-13.

^^^^^^ This..... Except my prediction seems a little more plausible: Still Skins by 3; but 6-3.

Ain't no big thang. Out of the 32 teams, he excluded the 3 teams that will be starting rookies. Then threw in Tebow b/c it's ESPN and god forbid they don't inject Tebow/Tiger/LeBron into every discussion.

Nothing funny/pathetic about it really.

Surprised to see Flacco so high.

The other thing is Jaworski puts in time. He studies the game and the position as hard as anyone out there and whatever opinion he ends up with is based on reason and educating himself on the topic.
