Just when you think Cleveland sports teams have run out of ways to lose, the Gladiators showed great creativity last night and forfeited their game against Pittsburgh because the players went on strike.
The players union decided to strike yesterday at 2:00, but apparently they didn't bother to tell the team or the fans (who showed up to watch). And apparently they didn't tell the Pittsburgh team, or all of the Cleveland players as some still showed up. Word is there were Cleveland players in the locker room, but not enough to field a team.
Talk about solidarity...
Just when you thought arena football couldn't get more irrelevant.
Support the USFL. End the arena madness.
