LOVE it.
Still keep the good picks.
Think of it this way the 4th is ATL's basically Owen Maricic, Jordan Cameron and Carlton Mitchell to be sure on Trent... I'm ok with that.
And I agree, we aren't done moving up.
DE at #22 and then sneak into NE's for someone else.

Some of the people bitching about these late round picks giving up are the same ones who trust the current regime to make the right call in those picks...
Kind of hypocritical.
They wanted Richardson, they got him and gave up little in the scheme of things.
Isn't hard to comprehend and certainly not ledge-able at this point. Wait til #22 for that...

Nah, wasn't replying to you shouldn't have included ya.
The question of "why" is simple to answer, cause it was either us or someone else. Pick was definitely getting moved, per Schefter and all the NFL guys.

For a team in as bad as shape as the Browns I prefer quantity at this point, more chance you hit on more. Less margin for error in these picks now.

They've used that strategy in trading back last year and when the Jets got Sanchez. The Browns need gamechangers and they got a stud.

they had the 4th pick this year, anyone they got would likely be a stud. My main problem is the position, it's not that important anymore. For as good as Peterson is, what has that team done with him until they got Favre and then after Favre left?? You need a qb...period. What do the Jags do with Maurice Jones Drew?/ What do the Titans do with Chris Johnson?? Picking a rb that high is bad.

We've (not you and I, the royal We) been over this ad nauseum: There was no QB to take. They fucked themselves when they missed out on RG3 and they did the smart thing by not reaching for Tanneyhill. Richardson was the clear BPA at a position of need, even if that position isn't as valuable as it has been in years past.

^^^^^This
Case closed. Other teams don't need RB's? The Browns aren't "other teams." They are a stagnant stinking mess and have been for a long time. They have a QB with an outside shot at being successful in the league. They needed a quick but significant positive change; and I think they got one in Richardson.
Quit being negative because for once there's a reason to be positive; fucking embrace it.
