LOVE it.

Still keep the good picks.

Think of it this way the 4th is ATL's basically Owen Maricic, Jordan Cameron and Carlton Mitchell to be sure on Trent... I'm ok with that.

And I agree, we aren't done moving up.

DE at #22 and then sneak into NE's for someone else.

Panic and desperation. That's what we have come to know as Browns football.

I think Mercilus will be gone by 37. WR at 22 and OL at 37.

I was all on board to find our franchise QB and still am, but getting TR is a good call. We will do soemthing right. But we HAVE to get a road grader RT. I think we might move up a smidge from 22 to nab Riley Reiff.

I'm also i the corner of Mo Sanu and maybe just maybe he falls in 68, would be a great pick up for us.

Nah, that's who I think goes at 22.

And I don't see how those late picks show all this panic people are talking about. Vikings were definitely trading that pick, the cost was minimal. We have all the Top 100 picks and the comps still. We're fine.

God Luck is so nerdy and cheesy. He'll be the perfect replacement for Peyton. Still enrages me like no other that the Colts have 12 or so years of pure dominance, and the one year they suck, its for Andrew Luck and not JaMarcus Russell.

And the year the gloried Browns franchise returns Tim Couch is sitting there.

HELL YES. Don't know how everyone else feels, but haven't been this happy about the Browns in quite a few years. Instant improvement. Franchise player. Best player available. Save your stats/reasons about why this doesn't make sense don't wanna hear it. 5 years from now, my favorite player of all time might not be Barry Sanders.

Some of the people bitching about these late round picks giving up are the same ones who trust the current regime to make the right call in those picks...

Kind of hypocritical.

They wanted Richardson, they got him and gave up little in the scheme of things.

Isn't hard to comprehend and certainly not ledge-able at this point. Wait til #22 for that...

Running backs are meaningless in the NFL today. You can get them off the street (Arien Foster and at one time Peyton HIllis could even run!!), so of course you need to trade 3 picks to move up 1 spot to get one. Claiborne, Blackmon and even the tackle would all have been better picks than what has become a meaningless position.

Nah, wasn't replying to you shouldn't have included ya.

The question of "why" is simple to answer, cause it was either us or someone else. Pick was definitely getting moved, per Schefter and all the NFL guys.

They were scared of the JEts or someone trading up to get him so they traded first...Vikings got 3 free picks from us to get the guy they wanted...simply 3 free players for the Vikings, no way Jets could come close to that. Sort of like when the REdskins gave up a ton to get Griffin ahead of us. I guess in the big scheme maybe those 4th and 5th rounders would have stunk, but you never know. For a team in as bad as shape as the Browns I prefer quantity at this point, more chance you hit on more. Less margin for error in these picks now.

they had the 4th pick this year, anyone they got would likely be a stud. My main problem is the position, it's not that important anymore. For as good as Peterson is, what has that team done with him until they got Favre and then after Favre left?? You need a qb...period. What do the Jags do with Maurice Jones Drew?/ What do the Titans do with Chris Johnson?? Picking a rb that high is bad.

Once the Griffin trade fell through I would have taken Blackmon with the first pick then Weeden with the 2nd first rounder...now that would have at least been fun to look forward to....Giants--no dominant rb, Packers, no dominant rb, Saints, no dominant rb. Steelers--menhenhall?? Colts, no dominant rb.

Those are the recent super bowl champions. The last thing you need to win is a stud running back. You need one (a body to fill the position), but as I said you can find one anywhere.

We've (not you and I, the royal We) been over this ad nauseum: There was no QB to take. They fucked themselves when they missed out on RG3 and they did the smart thing by not reaching for Tanneyhill. Richardson was the clear BPA at a position of need, even if that position isn't as valuable as it has been in years past.

I guess, but I still take the WR, corner or tackle over him. cliaborne and Blackmon, my two favorites would have certainly made impacts at those positions which I believe are infinitely more important than RB today. I did not want a qb at 4 and wouldn't have taken one. I still take Weeden at 22 if he's there. McCoy isn't it.

What do the Jags do with Maurice Jones Drew?/ What do the Titans do with Chris Johnson?? Picking a rb that high is bad.

Case closed. Other teams don't need RB's? The Browns aren't "other teams." They are a stagnant stinking mess and have been for a long time. They have a QB with an outside shot at being successful in the league. They needed a quick but significant positive change; and I think they got one in Richardson.

Unfortunately may have to hang loose cause lot of chatter the Browns still might move back in with NE.
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. For a team in as bad as shape as the Browns I prefer quantity at this point, more chance you hit on more. Less margin for error in these picks now.

They've used that strategy in trading back last year and when the Jets got Sanchez. The Browns need gamechangers and they got a stud.

they had the 4th pick this year, anyone they got would likely be a stud.

Big time running backs are not needed in NFL football anymore. Don't you watch? Call me crazy but I believe the Giants had 2 thousand yard receivers and no thousand yard running backs this year. Patriots, Packers, Saints, Steelers, Colts, Giants have won the Super Bowls since the turn of the century. You need a body at running back. It's a qb and wr league.

Ok, we get your opinion. Fine. Enough.

Is what it is.

Could name a bunch of other good teams with good RBs but dont want to bother.

Let's focus on #22, call your shot.

I'll go Mercilius. Rather they not but I think they really like him.

They need a WR next, or a RT.
