So yeah, they're probably on the phone with Phoenix now. ;-) ;)

A year of rent-a-Hassellback is starting to sound like an appealing idea to me. I normally hate bald people, but in his case I'll make the exception. Just keep his idiot sister in law far away.

NO HOLDS BARRED!!!!!

I'm counting that as dipping a toe in those waters.

Bald is beautiful. Except when it's really mediocre.

If mediocrity is all we're looking for we may already have it.

I'll take him, if he's cheap. 8 seasons better than Colt's best season (which is likely to be his career best season). Much more poised and accurate.

Unless your hope is that the Browns are bad enough to get another Top 5 pick and finally get a QB. Then, yes, stick with Colt. Hasselbeck is worth a couple of wins, but won't get you to the playoffs.
It's only progress if you eventually get somewhere.

Why would this last season be Colt's best? Not suggesting he's going to turn into anything great, but I'd say last year is likely Colt's worst. First full year, no offseason, no wide receivers, shitty running backs. I'd say, if only marginally, he improves this year to a point where having Hasselbeck under center is thoroughly meh.
Check me out at Dawgsbynature, where I write stuff, or @twitter as Josh Finney.

Because if the Browns pick up Hasselbeck then Colt will never start again anywhere (season starter, not come in as a backup).

If he actually starts again, then, yeah, he'll probably do better than last year.
