Any chance you can make it in, Al?

I really do want to. If the doc says I'm allowed to golf, then I'm showing up almost no matter what. If not though, I'm 50/50. Kinda depends on work too, so might not make a final call until the week of.

Jesus H - turns out my son's school program for the spring is this night, at 6:30 PM. Early negotiations with the wife on me missing it led to me sleeping on the couch last night after sucking down six Conways like a poison victim looking for the antecdote in the bottles.

What is a "school program for the spring"?
"I won’t tell you exactly what it’s about, but this is typical of what might happen,'' he said. "I said, ‘Tom, do you want to do this?’ He said, ‘I don’t think I do. I think it’s too much or too strong or whatever.’ I said, ‘well, we might have to.’ And he goes, ‘well, if we have to, then you’ve got to tell me, because I won’t do it.’ And I said, ‘OK, then I might have to tell you. Fine.'''

On another note I can't make it. I still absolutely curse this this bullshit 4 day format. Can't get the days off my project is in high gear (only a 2-man team) hence I haven't been around the boards much. Could have made it no problem in the old format.

On that note, I want to log my annual gripe about format. I hate that my buds and I no longer have our day of: 8AM golf, 12N draft watch at a bar, 6PM shower/sober up, 8PM dinner with wives, continued drinking.

It was kind of the perfect Spring Saturday.

Couldn't agree more. They have absolutely RUINED the draft for me with this format.

I cant ignore my wife for 3-4 straight weekdaynights/Weekend mornings, lol.

Dude- Ya gotta go watch the kid. Figure out what to do afterward or whatever, but that's non-negotiable.

Take it from a guy who left the baptism party of his 2nd child to go play (and win, mind you) the News Herald World Series of Softball tournament. Don't make that mistake. Goes by way too fast.

You can do both, and you should.

Let's do Day One at the Twinsburg Panini. Good venue. Lot's of hotels there. I'm not into a Tribe game anyway. Boulder Creek isn't far for the golfers.

Film the kid's show, just don't record over Mad Men.

Honestly, and it kills me to say this publicly, peeker is right.

However I don't think anyone would begrudge you the option of changing this party to suit your logistics.

This! Goddamnit!

The NFL is run by a bunch of greedy asswipes who wouldn't know a good time if it sat on their faces.

Stick in the mud. Thursday is not the weekend, you money sucking shitheels. It's Ayatollah Goodell's stupid vision. He and Herr Stern can suck my balls.

The weekend starts when the NFL says it does. Stop writing like a 10 year old girl and get with the program.

The draft is terrible motivation to drive to fucking Cleveland on a Thursday night. Put it on a motherfucking Saturday like it was before, is that so goddamn hard? But no, you got a absolute fucking shit eating anal cyst in charge who couldn't find his dick and balls with a pair of tweezers and a microscope.

It's a pain in my balls. It would be a lot easier to make a 5 round hour trip on a Saturday.

Oh and sorry about the angry rant earlier...... nicotine, man.

All right...barring last min craziness at work, I'm in. So were doing:
Indians game at noon Thursday
Draft Thursday night
Find Rat Tail's keys
Golf Friday afternoon
Introduce CTD to a midget
Draft Friday night

Right?

Is this thing still on?

Cause I'm not sure how much heat is going to be generated watching the Browns trade down for a D-Back or some other position that really doesn't have a bearing on winning NFL football games in 2012.

The Genius Bill Walsh used to advocate getting the receivers last, after you've gotten everything else. The imbeciles in this city will probably draft another receiver with the top pick, and wonder why his whiffle ball catching ability is not turning things around.

Looks like another year of Sunday naps.
