Ive been watching this team with great apathy the last few years. I dont care anymore. These anti-nfl "players" infesting our roster have done nothing to strike any confidence Im happy they lost because it means a higher draft pick. And im serious. Were not making it to the playoffs, so why not benefit from a higher draft pick? If it means a better shot at an impact player (regardless of the position cause were could need just about anyone)we have to go for it. Cause this team needs more playmakers. Plain and simple. We have no "go to guy(s)", with a shitty headcoach at the wheel, driving our sundays off a cliff...blablabla ect. I could go on and on but we all know that there are a shitload of other issues have have been repeated in many a post ad nauseum. In our hearts we all know the god damned arguments.

But this game just pissed me off. Big time. Of all the shit ways to suck and fail and fling it in their fans' faces like monkeys in a fecal fight, this game and this coaching staff have ruined my weekend. I fucking hate likeing this team! Its bad enough I have to watch the my hometown soccer team (yes im from Germany and I like soccer too, come at me ) suck ass just as bad. They are the soccer equivalent of the Browns. Im sick of this shit. Add in watching the Indians this season. Im a Cavs game away from the psych ward.

And I'll tell you what the damn problem is; motivation. Its the same look in the players faces. They look sorry. They look like they've just seen a ghost. They dont look intense. They dont have that fire and thats the coaches fault. And ive seen this in action when I was in the Army (yeah a German guy in the US Army, I get the irony, I had to hear it alot). When a private in the army is shitty, its his NCO's fault. And if a good NCO cant fix it, hes damaged goods and needs to go. Crap leadership leads to crap results. I'm sure everyone here would have enough anecdotes to share. Ive seen the "motivated" and "unmotivated" look on a daily basis, and I know it when I see it. And the players dont look motivated. Bottom line. They look butthurt and feeling all sorry for themselves (except a few i.e. Haden and Cribbs), and then they wont focus on doing their tasks.

I honestly think Shurmur has no idea what a touchdown even is. He thinks the team that makes the most FG's wins the game. I knew they were going to lose regardless if Dawson made that FG because we were not trying to put the game away we were just trying to not lose it and win by 2.

I was pretty impressed by this D-line and if we only had some more depth Rubin and Taylor, and Shread would not have to play the whole fucking game. I actually noticed Gocong on the field today also.

I think McCoy had a solid game but nothing that makes me feel better going forward with him as our QB. The Rams are on the same level as the Browns so McCoy having a good game really is not much to be happy about.

Disagree on Fairley. He hit Cutler two full strides after Cutler released the ball. He also hit him at the goal line and drove him into the turf 8 yards deep in the end zone after taking those strides. It was cheap. And for Stafford to punk out after all that was him being a bitch.

I'm fine with hits. The Briggs hit was text book and to flag that was pathetic. But Stafford deserved to get his ass kicked after the INT and throwing that guy by the facemask.

And Colt was the only one who "noticed", but was told they were in a no audible situation. But still decided against using a time out and walking over to his head coach and say what the fuck are you doing Pat?

I have been critical of Colt all year. But christ. The only right answer at this point is we actually have less information about him than we had 365 days ago because his head coach is on the path of making Chris Palmer appear aware.

Exactly. I don't mind the losing; this was a rebuilding year, blah blah blah. I mind the fact that we've found out nothing more than that the 2009 draft was a colossal disaster. We have no idea of what Colt is capable of, no idea what Hillis is capable of, no idea if the players are good or bad or if they need a better coach or what.

Shurmur has been so bad that we actually know less. And that means we really did waste this season. And unfortunately, that means we'll probably have left some talent on the table when we dump McCoy and Hillis and they go on to have some (probably moderate, but some) success elsewhere. We will be worse off after this season than before it, and that's a huge problem in a rebuilding year.
