any chance maybe Daboll was gifting his former employer with the win? I mean, that play-calling at the end of the game with GREAT field position (which was gifted in the form of 1 b.s. call and a legit call) was atrocious.. 3 long passes on the first 3 downs?!?! how do you not have a screen or some kind of quick crossing pattern?!?! You have 4 downs and not that far to go, and oh, yea.. a time out.. now.. I'm not gonna buy the bull that Crique was selling about Carpenter only needing to get close enough for a 60 yarder (just don't think that would EVER happen in Cleveland..) but 8 yards gets you a shot at a FG I gotta think.. how they don't run a draw or screen there on first down baffles me, you have a time out.. get some yards in hopes to open something a little bit down the field...
What is more likely is Daboll is still a subpar coordinator.. glad to be rid of him .. (though, who knows.. maybe if the phins get some more time with his scheme it could blossom to the greatness of the '10 Browns... xD)
I substitute teach in Rhode Island. There are lots of Red Sox and Patriots fans. Students ask what my favorite teams are and I always answer honestly and proudly. They almost always laugh, but they are under the age of 14 and have never had a bad team to root for.
When an adult asks the same question, I respond similarly and get the, "ah, you from Cleveland?" and I reply, "yea" and am given his condolences.
However, the cake was taken when I was watching the Browns at a bar and was disgusted/disappointed, etc. The bartender says "yea, I know how you feel" I say, "Oh, really, how so?" his response, "yea, Man, I tell you, losing the Super Bowl twice to the Giants, just really sucked"
I wanted to punch him in his fat face.
