The Drawback to no OTA's

Unread postby hiko » Fri Aug 19, 2011 12:58 pm

From the PD:

Browns key injuries: WR Mohamed Massaquoi (foot), Chris Gocong (neck), Usama Young (hamstring), SS Eric Hagg (knee), WR Carlton Mitchell (finger), Scott Fujita (thigh), DE Jabara Fletcher (knee) and TE Ben Watson (hamstring) missed all week of practice. LG Eric Steinbach (back), SS T.J. Ward (hamstring) and RB Peyton Hillis (hamstring) suffered injuries late in the week.

Look how many hamstring injuries are on there (and around the league).

It's not like there are normally no hamstring injuries, but not to this extent. I'd have to think this has a lot to do with the lack of NFL sponsored conditioning programs this offseason.

If all those guys sit, that's 8 freakin' starters.
