Braylon stabbing people now?

Unread postby Love child of shawn kemp » Tue Aug 02, 2011 5:53 pm

This is from Peter King's Tuesday edition of MMQB.

It's always something with Braylon Edwards. Now his friends (and maybe Edwards) were involved in an incident in a Detroit-area bar Sunday night in which a man took 14 stitches after being cut with a knife. Edwards sent out a couple of my-dog-ate-my-homework tweets about his phone being stolen and someone sending out false tweets under his name about fighting. This comes after he pleaded guilty to a September DWI 11 days ago. I could see a team like the Patriots waiting until Edwards' value is at rock bottom -- one year, $1.5 million -- and swoop in to get a player motivated to have a great year.

Florio: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/01/braylon-edwards-has-another-brush-with-the-law/

Per the report, Edwards’ friends got into an argument with the employees. The dispute made its way into the kitchen, and one employee was “sliced with a knife.” The wound required 14 stitches to close. Another employee allegedly was attacked with a fork. (Alas, the Placesetting Trifecta was not completed, possibly because Braylon dropped the spoon.)

Edwards reportedly posted the following on Twitter at about the same time: “Damn. Get ya knuckles ready” and “Don’t fight if. You don’t know how.”

"Dropped the spoon"...nice.

Not good when your team sites character issues as reason for not keeping you around and then signs a convicted felon to replace you.

Well this only happened to him because he played for Michigan, and those thugs were clearly just jealous State fans.
"I won’t tell you exactly what it’s about, but this is typical of what might happen,'' he said. "I said, ‘Tom, do you want to do this?’ He said, ‘I don’t think I do. I think it’s too much or too strong or whatever.’ I said, ‘well, we might have to.’ And he goes, ‘well, if we have to, then you’ve got to tell me, because I won’t do it.’ And I said, ‘OK, then I might have to tell you. Fine.'''
