Official Day Two Draft Day Thread

Unread postby peeker643 » Fri Apr 29, 2011 5:27 pm

Let's put it here.

God I hope David Veikune is still on the board.

Get him tonight, maybe a Buckeye receiver with the 59th and then get your Beau Bell manana.

Good times.

Man, I put one post on FB and then check g-mail for responses. I was writing that diary with Jason last night.

That's some frantic shit and I ain't gonna lie, it was tiring.

Anywho, defense-defense-defense. DE or Wilson would thrill me and at this point I think Bowers has real value.

And the ESPN crew thinks Rudolph is gone in the first five picks tonight. If I was gonna go offense that's where I'd go. Kid's a monster and could be Cubbie's security blankie for years (or Luck's next year ;-) ;) )

2 options for me here...hope Bowers slides to #37, or hope for another deal down if someone wants an available QB. Nothing really intriguing at WR for me, so stay on defense for both picks. Hell, maybe you take Paea now and put him at LDE and really crack down on the run.

2 predictions...Browns draft 2 defensive players tonight, and they make another deal (either move back from #37 and stock up picks, or trade up from 4th round into 3rd round) and get their WR. FTR, I like the trade back last night, hate losing the 3rd, but am very intrigued by Taylor.

to be fair..that's the difference between belichick/parcells and WCO/Walsh.

BPA regardless of whether or not he fits the scheme or not, unlike belichick/parcells that goes by scheme.

Why wouldnt Bowers play the strong side LDE? I understand the Heckert 250lb quick speed rush guy, but couldnt that be the RDE?

Do the LDE & RDE absolutely have to be matching bookends?

I don't want Bowers, even if he's there. Tempting as it might be.

Either his knee is OK or it's not. If it was OK, he'd be gone. There's no value there. not worth the risk. YMMV

Just say no to Mallet and both of his brain cells. We have the ammo for luck, if we suck.....forget wasting a 2 (a top round 2, at that) on a Mallet. There's a reason he's still out there.
