IMO Frye is Tim Couch, Jr. University of Akron does not groom it's players to be NFL material.

Another way to look at it is that Joe Thomas doesn't feel the need to be big-time like so many of these guys with their huge diamond earrings and entourages, but is exactly the type of blue-collar player the Browns used to be made of.
