Could Quinn go #1?

when the raiders approached brady quinn and his agent ,his agent wanted 10-12% over last yr or 28-29 million ,brady interrupted and said he was willing to take what mario williams got last yr just to go #1,also said he loved his meetings with al davis/lane kiffin/greg knapp and felt very comfortable playing that offensive playbook,felt that he could excel ,the raiders of course liked that answer and thats why he got a contract offer

The Raiders have tried to say they were taking Russell, to get the Browns to move up, not working.

They have said they are taking CJ, to get Tampa to move up, didn't work.

Might as well throw a BQ rumor out there, see if you can shake something up.

If there is one thing I might know, it is Al Davis is enamored with the measureables on Russell. They will take him, unless they get a decent offer to move down.

JT talk in Cleveland I believe is a smokescreen to get a deal with Arizona done. Cardinals desperately want him....so I can see us getting a deal with them done where we acquire 1st day picks and swap the #3 and #5 and we take Quinn or Peterson at #5 (whoever is there).

So the rumors have us waiving the pick to 1)Raiders-to get Russell 2)Arizona-so they get JT 3)Miami-so they get Quinn 4)Atlanta-they get CJ and 5)Tampa Bay-to get CJ...am I missing any?

RUMORS FLY OF QUINN TO RAIDERS

There are rumors right now in media circles that the Raiders are closing in on a deal with (drum roll, please) Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, who would then be named the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network tipped us off to the rumor -- however, Schefter thinks that the rumor is not true. Mark Maske of the Washington Post acknowledges the rumor in a Friday afternoon chat, but he says he's not reporting that the deal is done.

We heard earlier in the week that the Raiders had made an initial offer to Quinn. We have since heard that, while hard numbers were not presented to Quinn's agent, Tom Condon, there was enough discussion about parameters and terms to give him a sufficient idea as to the ballpark amount of the deal

Sitting here watching the draft special on STO, newest rumor has Quinn going #1 and Browns trading up to #2, giving Braylon a Detroit native................but that makes to much sense to go down

Hey you never know, rumor has it Lane Kiffen prefers Quinn b/c he thinks he's a better fit for the offense...so says John Clayton anyway.

There are so many goddamn rumors at this point I won't rest easy till the Browns actually make their pick...whenever that is.
