Triv just said he has been told by a little birdie it is going to be Quinn. Only way it would not be is if QBs went with the first two picks, or if Russell slips. At that point, it could be a flip of the coin between Quinn/Russell.

But, if the draft goes as expected (Russell and CJ #1 and #2), when the Browns are up and it is Quinn, A Pete, or Joe Thomas, it is going to be Quinn.

Now, when Triv talks about his "birdie" with the Tribe, you listen. Because that birdie is one of Shapiro, Antonetti, or Huntington, possible even Dolan. When it comes to the Browns, though, I am unsure how connected he is.....so take from that what you will.

Quinn seems to be the most likely selection, so the fat ass uses his little birdie line. If they take Quinn, everyone thinks he is "connected", if they don't either they changed their minds or he was taken off the board.

The only drama I see taking place next Saturday is if Russell and Quinn go 1-2. Whichever one of them is still on the board at #3 is going to be drafted by the Browns, unless a good offer is made for a trade down.

Another way to say it is, there is no way they are taking Joe Thomas. Then when aaron Ross falls to us at 37, we will have to take him, so get ready for another season of running backs running into brick walls, qb's having no time, and 4 wins.

Then we can debate the merits of Ray Rice, Brian Brohm and Jake Long next year! My guess would be everyone is on board with Long in December, mid-February some will start to slide to Brohm, and by time we get to St. Patrick's Day, Jake Long won't even be an option.

Like I said in the first post.....I know for a fact he is well connected with the Indians. I talked to him briefly down in Winter Haven. But, I am unsure just how connected he is to the Browns and Cavs....I'd assume he is in some way, but nowhere near as close as he is for the Indians.

That´s the thing I don´t get. Joe Thomas won´t make our running-game better. He might give us better pass-protection, but he isn´t that much of run-blocker. I sure he will be in two or three years. But not any instant-impact.

We need a better guard. That´s what´s missing. Like it has for years now.

A hidden point here is that Cleveland Sports talk radio is soooo bad, that this clown is The King. Of course the genius program director at WKNR placing a pompous, no nothing Steeler fan against him for years didn't hurt his cause.

Garnett rumor per WTAM

Hughes, Z, Snow and Marshall for Kevin Garnett and Troy Hudson.

Per WTAM.

They are saying this is a complete rumor and haven't stated where it is coming from.....but did note that all players on the Cavs side were still at practice today.

This is probably a bunk rumor as this makes no sense for Minnesota....but since WTAM is reporting the rumor, just sharing here.

According to a poster on another board, Sirius radio is reporting Garnett to the Cavs by Friday. Whether the poster is serious or joking....is unknown. But he did mention Z, Hughes, Snow and Newble for Garnett, Davis and Jaric.

All these deals make completely no sense....but with WTAM even mentioning it to begin with, and the possibility that Sirius is mentioing it, I hope this is one of those smoke/fire cases. Hope. (IOW, "hope" means not happenin in this town)

Yup, like I said, they mentioned it was a complete rumor coming from outside the news department (i.e. not from Triv). It was the intern who was feeding them that rumor from the internet.

Yeah, I never heard it but I remember your post about it, and no mention of " where he specifically said that his intern mentioned a rumor on the Internet,". Regardless it isnt a reach to say Quinn is the pick, however I just dont see this info getting leaked a week and a half before the draft.

Yeah, I was listening that day....and they turned it over to the intern with "breaking news." They put the kibosh on that quickly though, and joked about not letting the intern provide anymore scoops.
