Lead Man sick to his stomach but.....

Unread postby leadpipe » Sun Nov 14, 2010 6:29 pm

...it ain't all that bad.

For the first time in He doesn't know how long, Lead Man was thinkin' about the game at 8:00am.

For the forst time in he doesn't know how long he moved to solitary confinement in the basement so he could REALLY concentrate on the game. No time to give the wife explainations of what's going on, no time for Thomas the Train.

For the first time in he doesn't know how long LP dared not doze at halftime, because if it carried over into the third quarter he might miss plays that actually meant something.

For the first time in he doesn't know how long LP bleieves he's watching a QB that knows what the hell is going on out there.

And, for the first time in he doesn't know how long, there's a pit in the Lead Man's stomach at the end of a Browns game.

That was an F'in football game out there today, and for every "if Chansi doesn't fumble we win" here in Cleveland, there are two "Die Nick Folk" chants in NY.

No moral victries to be sure, but GD, some friggin' football.

I'm gonna go now, gotta head somewhere, bout a 15 minute drive. And I'll be in a fog the whole way, barely remembering red lights and traffic.

Just like it used to be.

I can second the OP. This is the first time in a long time I have been emotionally invested in the Cleveland Browns. Hell, first time in a long long time I have even posted more then one drive by post in the forum.

While we definitely are still going to have issues with losing heartbreakers, the era of rudderless suck is now over.

Let's see McCoy complete some passes for more than 25 yards and then I'll know he's has potential to be a good franchise QB rather than a competent franchise QB.

Been going on for the better part of 3-4 weeks now, not sure where you guys have been.

This should have been for a 6-3 record.

^Think maybe it took 3-4 weeks to sweep away 10+ years of shit.

I thought this thread would be about LM having the Browns +3½.

There is no one on the roster that can get open 25 yds downfield...but, yeah sure

Another thing is the Wildcat needs to be excecuted....not properly, Period.

The freaking Chuck and Duck was more successful and Colt missed out on a Red Zone opportunity to build on early on

He was nails in crunch time and the Browns win if not for Stuckey's fumble and considering his supporting cast color me scepticle to the Browns drafting a QB in the 1st next yr

Speaking my language, LP. I walked out of CBS dazed, without a voice, hands ringing from beating the chairs, thinking....."Man, so frustrating that wasn't a win.....but damn if it wasn't a badass game"
