Yeah, read that from someone linking it in the game thread, it's def worth posting on its own for anyone who missed that.

I am so amped about the Browns right now.

Just can't believe something seems to be breaking our way here. The way the team plays like a Blue collar town would want, the coaches breaking through, Colt maybe being a hit...

How close were we to firing Mangini and Staff?
How close were we to passing on Colt McCoy for a Third time?
How badly did we rip off Denver for Hillis?
How good do the FA pickups of Roth, Fujita and Bernard look?
Bringing in Gocong?
Drafting Ward?

This is weird man, this doesn't seem to be one lucky bounce of the oblong ball here, this looks like alot of things coming together. A sizable string of strong moves by the Browns organization.

I am reminded of a quote by, IIRC, Marty Shottenheimer from when he was with the Redskins I believe:

"What do you think comes first, success or confidence? "

confidence?, someone said....

"Wrong. Success comes first."

I think I just watched that play out before my eyes the last two games.....
"I won’t tell you exactly what it’s about, but this is typical of what might happen,'' he said. "I said, ‘Tom, do you want to do this?’ He said, ‘I don’t think I do. I think it’s too much or too strong or whatever.’ I said, ‘well, we might have to.’ And he goes, ‘well, if we have to, then you’ve got to tell me, because I won’t do it.’ And I said, ‘OK, then I might have to tell you. Fine.'''

Our fearless leader in the Draft War Room getting his hands dirty.

Yay for us.
