Brady's take on yesterday

Some good stuff here from Brady, here's a sample...... good quick read:

Brady was asked if he was surprised about Browns coach Eric Mangini's admission that Cleveland went with an entirely different defensive game plan in the second half yesterday to prevent Brady from adjusting to what he saw in the first half.

"They've had two weeks to prepare, they put a lot into the game. We knew they were going to have a whole... coach [Belichick] said at halftime, believe me 'all the stuff that we couldn't stop in the first half, don't worry they got a lot more stuff in the second half,' so he told us. He's been telling us all week and we as players we just, there were just too many plays out there that were just bad plays in all phases of the game and it's tough to overcome us making bad plays."

The intelligence, creativity, and general aptitude of your coaching staff has so much more of an impact on W's and L's in football than it does in any sport. Mike Brown won 60+ games with the Cavs. Eric Wedge had the Indians one game from the WS. I think that says it all.

In the NFL, you have the Barry Switzer anamoly with all Jimmie J's players. That's it. All the other coaches that have won SB's are legends.

Yesterday, we saw Mangenius just completely and totally depants his mentor. Outcoach him on every level imaginable ... and with even average execution on the field yesterday we still woulda won by two scores.

Belichick knew it too, obviously. You look at how he acknowledged Mangini and congradulated him at midfield. And his comments in the post game presser, BB went as far as he could to say he got owned ... without actually saying it.

As satisfying a Browns win as any since Run, William, Run.

And we got ourselves a great head coach.
