Might be less painful in the long run if Colt falls getting off the bus.

Well, once again we're left with hoping for that "anything can happen in sports' moment to actually happen.

Not like we're used to relying on talent and execution round here as it is.

Can anyone make a case for the Browns winning this game that does not include the Steelers getting trapped inside their locker room until 4 p.m.? How about a case for the Browns scoring?

I do think they'll score. Maybe not offensivey, but I do think they'll score somehow.

So there's that.

Seriously, what constitues a successful day for McCoy?

Is it winning, not leaving the game, not having the Jay Cutler vs. Giants face, putting 10 points up, taking a few shots deep to move defenders off the LoS?

What does it for you? I know we joke and expect very little in terms of a win or points but there's still some good that can come from watching what we're about to watch.

What does McCoy have to do today to make you feel more comfortable with him going forward?

the steeler fans putting up signs saying

"Welcome back ben". I guess everything is forgotten so long as you can do a fancy trick with a ball, no?

It was that or "Show me on the doll, colt, where he touched you". but that didn't fit.

Successful game for Colt McCoy:

1) Don't fumble a snap or handoff.
2) No INTs where the receiver is 5 yards away from the defender, ie no missed communication, no passing to an area where he thought the receiver would be, no panic throws. Balls clanging off receiver to defender OK, defender stepping in front of receiver to pick a pass an acceptable mistake.
3) No time outs called because play clock is winding down and there's too much confusion before the snap.
4) Able to walk at end of game without a limp.

I'd accept any of those. Just do be bad. That's it.
And if Hines Ward is killed today, then the Browns can lose to the steelers for the next 5 years, and I'd be happy.

I'd have to bet on the Browns to score only because shutouts are so rare in the NFL.

Looking good. McCoy has had absolutely no time in the pocket and having to rush throws under pressure but is handling it well

Is it ridiculous that I'm not completely discouraged by that drive despite the fact that there was a sack and it ended in an INT?

Yep-

And McCoy needs to step up in the pocket instead backward into the rusher that Hillis had moved wide.

Uh, you had 2 receivers within 2 steps of each other. Somebody ran the wrong route.

Also, can we mercifully end the "Josh Cribbs is a WR" experiment?
