The Browns plan to put Wallace on an "aggressive rehabilitation program" to try to get him ready to start at Pittsburgh in Week 6, but that seems like quite a long shot. Not exactly. Jackson cut Ratliff. New England signed him as a free agent to their practice squad. The 3 week rule applies to a player signed from a practice squad to your active roster. Not the case here.

Part of me says sure, because then I don't have to watch the game. I can write the article on Saturday and relax with NFL Ticket on Sunday afternoon, watching other teams that aren't trotting out a QB that would probably get shanked vs. PIT even if totally healthy. If y'all aren't reading Dave Kolonich's stuff here you really should be. Objective, amusing, entertaining. His thoughts from his TCF front page article:

at this point, it's either going one of two ways.

either, McCoy somehow puts together..a decent performance as a QB ( and we give him a further look this season, and this at the very least allows us to maybe, maybe, focus on drafting a wide-receiver in the first or pass rusher?).

Or we for sure know that he's not the guy or will never be the guy.

And I'm not saying he has to play.."well" per say, but moreso to survive and to look on par with at the very least Brady Quinn. I agree with Hiko on this, if he at or above 50% on his passes and his interceptions are 3 or below, I will be quite satisfied with such a performance.

Really, either way, I'd still draft a QB next year, to me he's NFL backup at best, and a CFL starter within 2 years.

But the situation simply isn't too big for the kid.

I am not pronouncing McCoy as the end all/be all to the position, but that's a kid that just looks like he gets it.

And I went and watched him in pre season and training camp and he showed NONE of the arm strength or aptitude. Bottom line is he's smart, learns fast and is more physically capable than we thought.

My heart is pumping again for this team.

Jake Delhomme was ready to retire. All you hav eto do is watch his play last season and his presser when they cut the old vet and sent him in for alpo 7 glue. Hell, Bobby Lane would crawl out the dirt and get a liver transplant for $ 7 mil a season. So even though he showed no desire to play, he took them up on the $ 7 million reasons.

And damn near as I've ever seen in the ultimate team sport that is pro football single handedly cost this team the 2 games that would make it a legit playoff contender this season.
