Us Cleveland fans have had some lean years. Have any been as bad as these 3 upcoming consecutive Indians, Browns, Cavs seasons?
2010 Indians, We all knew they wouldn't contend and they didn't. One of the worst 6 teams in MLB. Not much chance they will contend in 2011 either. Real contention probably 2-3+ years away.
2010 Browns, We all knew they wouldn't contend and they haven't. Probably bottom 5 team in the league. Some promise with Holmgren but jury is still out and real contention at least a couple years away.
2010/2011 Cavs, just lost our superstar douche. They won't contend this year, they will probably be one of the worst 10 teams in the league but will they be bad enough to really start to rebuild? Real contention could be a long way away. Lot's depends on the lock-out/CBA, what new rules result and what Gilbert's strategy is.
I remember some real lean years in the 70's and early 80's but was there ever a year that was this bleak with all of the teams being down at once?
What sucks the most is that I don't see any of our teams possibly being a top 5 team in their league for at least the next 2-3 years.
