IIRC today he could very easily take over as the Cleveland Browns all time scoring leader.

Despite the recent history and lack of success for this franchise, coupled with the ultimate success and history of this franchise prior to the move it is a pretty big deal IMO that we are seeing the record.

He is one FG away from tying Groza for number of field goals kicked (excludes AAFC years, includes only 1950-on), but still far away from the all time points total. Groza has 1,349 in the NFL and Dawson 986. Groza has 1,608 counting 4 years in the AAFC.
