Its a BS ruling. Hopefully the Org will pay the fine for him.

I am enjoying all the Bengals whining though. The only thing that would make this better is if TJ would just ask Shipley "How my ass taste?"

"A ridiculous play," Bengals receiver Terrell Owens said after the game. "The guy's defenseless. I just hate to see a guy get hit like that in the head. For him to take a cheap shot like that, that's uncalled for.

If it's you TO, it's called for. Even if the game is over or if it's Wednesday.

Hey Eric Wright was defenseless Sunday and I don't hear anybody crying for him.

Hey Ward, us fans will help pay your fine if you knock these two, and Braylon Edwards to an early retirement

hell...we'll motion for the Cavs to sign you to a one day when a certain team of douchenozzles comes in december

I got to be honest, I think it's a bullshit fine. I can see the penalty at the time because it was so spur of the moment but having watched the play multiple times, I just disagree it was dirty. Ward's trying to make a play in a split second situation.

The league has to be able to recognize that Ward did not lead with the head and if WRs are just going to throw themselves out there they are gonna get tapped.
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. We players love them, too. I feel a sense of accomplishment playing here, we are a special breed of football players with a great opportunity." ~ tOSU LB Brian Rolle

T.J. should just change his first name to "Hines." That might alleviate the chances of him incurring further hits to his wallet for laying people out.

I can't fucking believe that's an article from the Associated Press.

I could care less if people call Ward's hit "cheap". But for someone to write an article on the AP that's clearly slanted with the language used, that's a joke.
mmm, this is, a tasty burger!

Herm - FWIW, Hines Ward was fined on two consecutive weeks in 2008, once $5,000 and once $10,000, for unnecessary roughness. Interesting thing is the refs didn't call a penalty on either play. (Total Steelers' fines for those two games = $50,000!)

I only know that because I found it while I was looking around for an average "defenseless receiver" hit fine today. Seems $7,500 is the norm, so the league must have thought this one was particularly bad. Kid will be okay if he doesn't become a repeat offender. If he does, well, I just have bad memories of the Jaret Wright "head-hunter" saga.

Meh... he's okay regardless.

He's still $185,000 and a steroid suspension behind a borderline Hall of Fameer in Rodney Harrison.

Stay healthy TJ. And keep opponents from doing the same.

I stand corrected. At the very least T.J. can change his name to "Hines" so he can have his balls washed by the national media instead of having the same people practically burning him at the stake.

Damn straight Herm, if his name was Hines it would have just been passion and grit not cheap and dirty.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

I want to see more of this.

Not playing "dirty"..but just these division opponents pissed off at us because they got their asses kicked. I've seen a couple videos on youtube about how pretty much every team in the AFC Central had it out for each other and wanted to beat their ass.

Crashing the party, so to speak would just make football around here all the more.
