I think we have a good shot at it again this year. Heck, if the stars are aligned and Phil trades down, we'll have a shot at 3 exceptional players in the same draft.
If that happens I think our collective heads will explode!
One note though, the USFL draft in the mid-80's that precluded our playoff run got us Frank Minnefield, Kevin Mack & Mike Johnson. Not too shabby!
A couple of other years to consider:
1982 gave us Chip Banks (rd 1 #3) and Mike Baab (rd 5 #115)
1984 was good to us and could have been spectacular. Don Rogers (rd 1 #18 ), Chris Rockins (rd 2 #48 ), Brian Brennan (rd 4, #104) and Earnest Byner (rd 10, #280).
