Nope, we got major issues - INCLUDING that offensive tackle position we're going around about. Just because I don't want to draft an offensive lineman 3rd overall so we can pay almost 1 / 5th of our cap to LeOuch, Shaffer, Steinbach, Mother Cookoo, and JT, don't get goofy on me and make irrational extensions.

We definately need to draft multiple OLmen this year, and probably next.

IIRC I believe several teams inquired about Carr, not only the Browns. I believe at least Oakland, Miami as well as Carolina all looked into Carr. I'm just relating Carr to Holcomb - who could have stayed in Cleve and competed for a starting job but went to Buffalo to back up Losman. Interestingly, Holcamb did start a number of games there when Losman was reallly sucking. And that may be Carr's thought process in going to Carolina. But still, he's a young guy who's made his millions- you'd think that he'd want to go to a team with where he would have a chance to turn things around (but he didn't and that that's why I called him a pussy).

I'm taking it for granted that if you can use Holocaust analogies about David Carr I can definitely use the word "pussy".

So if he DEFINITELY wanted to start he, by definition, would have to go to a bad team. Instead he'll slide into the backup slot and rely on Delhomme sucking or an injury- which is of passive behavior, rather than active.

Not exactly. Not all good teams have good QB's. Look no further than our division.

I think the Carolina move is a good one. You have a team with what is on paper a very good D, some offensive weapons, a decent OL, and an aging QB whose always got it done more on moxie than ability. I think it is Carr's best chance, other than KC if you think Huard is a pan-flash, to go to a good team and start.

I just don't think having been a pinata on and off the field for 6 seasons and not yelling "THANK YOU SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER!" the second you get the chance to control your fate makes you a pussy.

I think it makes you smart. YMMV.

Being smart isn't always doing the right thing. If he wants to make a name for himself as a good QB, #1 overall then he should take on a challenge- like Oakland or Cleveland. Doing things like this is how be become Remembered.
