The Cleveland Gladiators return

New postby Spin » Tue Dec 08, 2009 9:56 am

Last night on the news they said the Gladiators would announce today the teams return in 2010, although they wouldn't say which league. Rumors on oursportscentral.com say it'll be the AF2 league.

AF2 was like minor league Arena ball. AF2 disbanded shortly after the AFL but now members of the AFL and AF2 have joined together to start the AFL1 which is now confirmed to include the Cleveland Gladiators! Awesome news!

Does this mean Bernie Kosar won't be the next Browns GM?

This is cool. I wanted to make it down to a Gladiator's game but never did. Figured I'd lost my chance.
And a good day to you, sir.

They are a lot of fun. I went to a couple of games including the first one. I didn't know what to expect but they were a blast. I met Kenny Lofton at one and Josh Cribbs and Wayne Dawson in the shitter at the other lol.

Fast paced high scoring football, not freezing cold, cheerleaders in Cleveland, drunken fights breaking out all over the place, balls getting thrown into the stands every couple of minutes, pyrotechnics, and not to mention that they almost won the whole damn thing their first year in. Good times had for all.

Yeah. It's kind of like what the NBA does for basketball.
