Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Denver Broncos have cut defensive end Courtney Brown.

For the right price and low risk I'd take him back

I think I liked Courtney Brown more than your average Browns fan, but where does he fit in here? Isn't he a little small to play DE in a 3-4 at 285?

Cheap, no-risk, and a DL. Depends if his ego could handle coming back to Cleveland, but I'd take the gamble.

DE: Roye/Harris
NT: Washington/Smith
DE: Smith/Fraser

And are you willing to cut two of the above players if you draft another DL in April?

Would have to be Fraser or Harris. I really would like to keep Fraser because:

1.) I am a Buckeyes homer
2.) He brings a kind of common sense, hard work style to the team
3.) He has played reasonably well when the Browns have called on him.

Wouldn't Courtney actually project out better as a 3-4 OLB than a DE?

I don't think you can bring him in, really, for the simple reason that you need to infuse some youth into this defensive line.

Orpheus and Big Ted could be analysts by this time next year. Fraser and Harris are far from being guys you can look to as long term pieces, at least right now.

The Browns need to draft a DL on day one. Knowing that is likely, I just don't see where The Quiet Storm fits.

In all my years with the season tickets, Courtney Brown was one of the top five players as far as being a physical speciman (size, speed etc.) that I ever saw. That being said he was never as effective as I thought he should be considering the above, and with his constant injuries he's just not worth the risk.

Classic case of life not being fair, you've got 100 people running around in that league that contribute nothing to society, yet a good, intelligent guy with all the physical tools can't stay on the field. A shame.

Sirius reported he'd failed his physical and was released. His knee is just plain done dudes. If it weren't , he doesn't get cut.

His career is over. A damn shame, really.

He accomplished nothing, contributed nothing special (even when healthy).

Apparently all those that said Arrington made him were correct.

Now Joe Delaney, that was a damn shame.

What about that TD against the Bears? One of the best plays by a defensive lineman I can recall, of the top of my head.

I always thought he got a bumb rap here. The defense he was put in was to contain outside, instead of attacking the QB.

I was speaking from a character standpoint. It's a damn shame The Juice is in the hall of fame. He's a great player.
