Out of nowhere & on the official site.

Vet CB from DC , part time starter. Insurance at a real trouble spot though, good size, and maybe a cover 2 CB.

I'll be honest, I know completely nothing about the guy.

Good sign? Or, no?

A journeyman who kinda sucks.

Only plus is he's a vet whose played for Todd G so he knows what he's getting. Never bad to get a cheap vet given all the injuries.

It would be bad if he winds up being the starter.

Skins pass D was the worst in football last season, and Wright (filling in for Springs) was a big part of that. However, he started all 16 and a playoff game for a pretty damn good Jags D the year prior. Yet, they let him go without a fight,

Hes got size, experience, a history with Grantham. Which puts him a step ahead of the Ralph Browns and Mickenses of the world.

I think he was exposed as a starter last season. Assuming Baxter is done and Cutch is gone, he heads the pack of guys fighting to be the 3rd CB behind Bodden & Holly, and in no way does this signing stop the Browns from adding another corner.

Bottom line, with Clements signing in Amaechiville, and Hood on a bird to Zona without a deal ... the Browns had to get a vet CB in here.

I'm assuming this is just a "depth" signing...at least that's all I'm hoping this is. How does he compare with Devin Holly or Ralph Brown I wonder? With all of our holes, I can live with some of these signings.

I like the strategy of not "blowing our wad" too soon or on more overpriced junk like some other teams seem to be doing so far. I'm wondering what it would take to get Travis Henry...

So he was forced into a role in which he didn't belong (starting) on a team with an even worse pass rush than ours. As long as he's only being counted on to backup Bodden & Cleveland Brown to Be, I have no problem with the addition.
