The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Houston wants to trade up to the No. 3 pick for a chance to select Oklahoma tailback Adrian Peterson.

The Texans would reportedly be willing to send David Carr and their first-rounder (No. 8 overall) to Cleveland in exchange for the No. 3 pick.

Obviously, they will need to add a lot more to that package to get the Browns to budge.

Inside the top 10, the stakes get much higher. If Oakland goes with LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell and Detroit follows with Wisconsin tackle Joe Thomas, then Cleveland would be the target. The Browns would likely want quarterback Matt Schaub, the 10th pick and at least next season's first rounder. They might even ask for Freddie Falcon and couple of cheerleaders, too.

With Steinbach in tow, Im more leery to deal down ... UNLESS you can get at least #8, #39, and Carr.

Carr helps soldify QB. Steinbach, Im assuming, helps solidify OT.

I agree that you consider drafting CJ with the notion someone will pay out the ass to trade for him.

But we simply cannot draft him and keep him. You just can't have two mega contracts at WR in this day and age of the salary cap.

Houston is turning into a disaster for a franchise. I mean seriously, they could have had either Reggie Bush or Vince Young but they choose to have David Carr and Ahman Green. Christ, this is almost comical.

We might be able to trade down with them and still nab AP. Use two picks in the 2nd rd for a guard and possibly Staley.
