So who would've thought that Antonio Pittman would run the 3rd fastest 40 times at the combine for a running back? Not I.

I think a lot of folks are going to go back and see if his 40 time translates to field speed. I underestimated his speed and I watched him about as close as anyone, but now all those plays where he got the left corner seem to make more sense.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

I stand corrected, according to official times, he ran the fastest 40 for a running back (tied with Chris Henry of AZ and AP of OU).
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

Speed has never been Pittman's problem.

Speed has never been Pittman's problem.


There is speed, and then there is running the same 40 time as AP. I am not saying he is as good as AP or has as big of an upside, but I think he has definetly helped himself by turning in the best time on the same track (not at a Pro Day).

He did very well in the other speed drills too.
