Just another great move by the best coach in football. At first I was suprised then you look at the fact they already have 2 #1 draft picks.......wow. They are a very well run franchise.

12 - I respect BB a ton, and how he's changed surprised me.

But don't you give any propers to Pioli here?

I mean, BB + Lombardi = losing record dooshbag.

BB + Piloi = HOFer.

Lombardi + anyone in O-Town = top 10 pick year after year.

February 17
(10:00 AM):Pats; Bears tag top ‘D’ stars… New England and Chicago combined to take two of the top defensive players off the free agent marke. As expected the Patriots franchised CB Asante Samuel, while the Bears applied the franchise tag to LB Lance Briggs. They become the second and third players to receive the franchise tag after Cincinnati tagged DE Justin Smith earlier this month. Other teams are still free to sign any of the three but will have to give up two first-round draft choices if the original team doesn’t match their offer sheet. Teams have until next Thursday to designate players as either franchise or transition players.

The Patriots are a great organization, but Belichek is the most important guy in football. He would have turned things around here if they didn't leave town on him. Parcells is a .500 coach without him, a HOF coach because of him.
