Solve a mystery for me: Browns vs. Rams in 1999, and cuts

I remember an issue being raised after the Browns played the Rams in 1999 regarding members of the Browns OL having mysterious cuts all up and down their arms after the game.

The question is, have I completely gone insane and fabricated this, or did this really happen, and can someone point me to any type of article written about it?

It's not life or death, but this is something that's bugging me and Google isn't being cooperative today.
