Another skill position player for the Browns, and Troy Smith to Crackmore?

My worst nightmare.

Joe Thomas at all costs is my mantra right now. Wisconsin's been on TV every week. I've kept a close eye on this kid, and think that there's about a 1% chance this kid does not become a very good NFL left tackle.

There's only one way to get a good left tackle in this league. And that's to draft one.

Go get Matt Schaub or Damon Huard at QB and Michael Turner at RB in FA. And spend all three of those 1st day picks on OL and DL.

Sam Baker from USC should be available wherever (in the top 10) the Brown's pick and he should be every bit as good as Joe Thomas. It looks like there are three good tackles available this year.

Kiper has Baker as the number 2 LT in the draft this year, between Thomas and Long.

Not sure what you guys think, but I really like Chris Leak as an NFL QB. I think he throws a very catchable ball, seems to go through his prrogressions and deliver the ball on time. Maybe a third round guy for us?

If Cleveland takes Lynch at all, I think that is dumb.

If Cleveland takes Lynch with a top 6 pick, that is even dumber.

If Cleveland takes Lynch with a top 6 pick while all those linemen (offensive and defensive) are sitting right there then that is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

The way I see it, the Browns have only 2 options.

~Take Brady Quinn or Troy Smith.

~Take the Big Ten lineman most highly rated on their board. Joe Thomas, Jake Long, Levi Brown, or Alan Branch.

I can't see my opinion changing on this between now and April. You never know though, and that's the beauty of message boards. The documentation of a changing mindset.
