1998: The Indians signed Charles Nagy to a 4-year contract extension worth $24 million, plus a club option for a 5th year. 1997: Tribe manager Mike Hargrove was given a 2-year contract extension through the end of the 1999 season, with a club option for an additional year. 1996: The indians traded P John Farrell to the Tigers for a minor leaguer.
